Our Horses

STELLA

“Queen Bee” arrived at Woerth It Hollow in June 2017 and established herself immediately as the one in charge. The leader of the herd, Stella is a 16-year old Morgan, who is 14.2 hands, so basically a large pony. Full of personality (and herself!), she can be ridden by an intermediate rider and is lovely to work with on the ground.

GIZMO

Also known affectionately as “Old Man”, “Fabio” or “Stella’s husband”, Gizmo is a 24-year old Gypsy Vanner mix Paint. At an adorable 12.2 hands, he is wonderful with young children and anyone who is a bit timid around horses. He was brought to Woerth It Hollow with Stella since they refused to be parted!

PEGASUS

Pegasus, was here when he was a baby and we fell in love with him. The rescue who had him, no matter how much we begged or offered money, refused to let us take him. We followed the rescue he was with and knew it was only a matter of time before they would get shut down. When the horses were seized we began to search for him. When we found him, we begged to bring him here. Pegasus was born Easter Sunday 2017. Pegasus arrived into our care in the Fall of 2020.

FIONA

Fiona came to Woerth It Hollow in 2021 and is now an 11-year old. Fiona has been the riderless horse in a ceremony at Fort Indiantown Gap during a Vietnam War Memorial.

O.T. (aka Old Testament) is a 10-year old thoroughbred.

DUSTY is a 16-year old white miniature horse. He is a character. When he arrived at our facility he was very skittish but now comes up to our participants, volunteers and visitors on a regular basis.

NEVADA is a 26-year old paint miniature horse. He has some health issues.

CHLOE is an 9-year old Morgan. She was donated to us December 2022.

GRACE is a 25-year old Palomino Quarter Horse. She came to Woerth It Hollow in November 2018. At 14.1 hands and with a sweet disposition, Grace was adopted in March of 2020 but returned to the farm in 2023.
